Football For All? Are the IFA making remembrance a political football?

22nd Ladies FC line up ahead of their respectful minutes silence of remembrance.

"The spirit of the game" is often used to highlight the respectful manner of which football is not only played but also as a great unifier of all religions, classes, creeds and colours. Therefore it is shocking for Unionist Truth Forum to learn of an incident which reportedly took place before an IFA Futsal Group game last night (09/11/18) between 22nd Ladies FC and St James Swifts Ladies at Queens P. E. Centre, an incident which was contrary to the spirit of that much valued ethos of the beautiful game.

Prior to the game kicking off the 22nd Ladies team lined up as is customary at this time of year to take part in a minutes silence in remembrance of those of all religions, creeds, colours and classes who gave their today so that we may have our tomorrow. It has been alleged that at this point that not only did the St James Swifts Ladies players walk out of the hall for the duration of the silence but they were joined by two IFA officials also walking out.

Unionist Truth Forum call on the Irish Football Association to publicly clarify or deny this shocking allegation.

Do Sinn Fein now think they are above electoral regulations?

These Sinn Fein posters campaigning against the United Kingdom's membership of the EU have started appearing across Northern Ireland over the past week or so. The referendum on membership of the EU took place over two years ago, so why are these posters permitted, after all
according to the electoral commission under the heading ‘Campaign publicity dos and don’ts
1.25 "You (a candidate or party) must:
• Make sure that outdoor posters are removed promptly after the election – you must do this within two weeks of the close of the poll."

So why have these Sinn Fein posters been allowed to be erected across the province and remained up for this length of time? Contact the Electoral Commission and join Unionist Truth Forum in asking why.

People Before Profit - Unless the people are Unionist.

People Before Profit - Unless the people are Unionist.

West Belfast People Before Profit MLA Gerry Carroll has once again let the non sectarian, socialist mask of PBP slip with a public call for "mass civil disobedience" against a 'hard border'. What does he mean by "mass civil disobedience"? Is he threatening disturbances and public disorder which could resort in violence? Where does this fit with PBP's assertion of being a cross community party for all the working class? Unionist Truth Forum have been examining these 'bona-fides'.

At first glance this looks like fiery language over what is still very much a hypothetical situation. After all the Government of the United Kingdom and all political parties have stated that they have no desire to see a hard border between ourselves and the Republic of Ireland.  So what is the issue with Comrade Carroll and his apparatchiks? Quite clearly, the issue is PBP using none too veiled threats to help the Pan Nationalist quest for a regulatory customs 'back stop' in the Irish Sea which would effectively leave Northern Ireland in the EU Customs Union, thus the separation of Northern Ireland from the rest of the UK. Giving what the Pan Nationalist Alliance dream of, a so called United Ireland by the back door!

PBP giving notorious Irish Citizen Army slogan a milenniel rebranding
The PBP poster above may seem innocuous and sound enough from a non-sectarian perspective to the eye of some working class Unionists who PBP court for transfers every election. In reality this slogan is a modern day rebrandng of the notorious "We Serve Neither King Nor Kaiser" cry of the terrorist Irish Citizens Army which staged a failed rebellion in Dublin in 1916 leading to over 500 deaths while Irishmen, both Protestant and Catholic, were fighting and dying side by side in the trenches of the Western Front.

But let's get back to Gerry Carroll. Should we really be so surprised by such inflammatory language? This isn't the first time he has shown himself to be anything but non-sectarian. Pictured below are a selection of social media comments from Comrade Carroll dating back at least five years which sum up his attitude to the significant and diverse Orange and bands tradition within the Unionist community.
Gerry then goes on to give us his enlightened and considered opinion on PUL cultural expression, from a 'workers together' position (sic)..
Tovarich Carroll disagrees so that's that then! And what of those working class PUL constituents in North and West Belfast who are members of Loyal Orders, Bands or simply relations, friends and neighbours who enjoy coming out to enjoy watching a distinct aspect of their British-Ulster identity?

While the 'neither green or orange' mask may be slipping, it is incumbent upon the Unionist community, especially those working class areas of Belfast which have been cynically targeted by People Before Profit in the past come election time, to reject PBP at the ballot box. Use your vote wisely. There is choice on most ballot papers to place a 1 for a Unionist party or candidate whose manifesto reflects your views on education, social disadvantage and employment the most, then transfer to the other Unionist parties or independant Unionist candidate of your choice. Remember even the lowest transfer to Comrade Carroll and Co could see a Pan Nationalist gain at the expense of a Unionist seat.

For Gerry Carroll and his red (scratch it and sniff green) comrades, Unionist Truth Forum assures them the Protestant, Unionist and Loyalist community of this part of the United Kingdom have had worse than civil disobedience threatened to remove their Nationhood, all have failed. A jumped up little Republican Trot certainly causes us no concern.

"Up The Ra - A Night to Remember.

Fancy a quiet, relaxing weekend break in Donegal, Republic of Ireland. Unfortunately it may prove to be anything but quiet or relaxing!

The Downings Bay Hotel in Downings, Donegal which last weekend provided entertainment by an Irish folk band 'All Folk'd Up' appear to offer a pleasant evening with a sinister twist with the band chanting "Ooh Ah Up the Ra" and "The I, The I, The IRA", whilst encouraging the audience to do likewise. This could understandably cause  visiting tourists from Northern Ireland who have lived through the worst excesses of the IRA's murderous campaign of bombings and shootings in Northern Ireland to feel extremely uncomfortable and frightened.

Is this acceptable? This is after all a hotel which surely would purport to provide amenities for all patrons, regardless of Nationality, Faith or Background. This was not a Private function and this was public space open to all unsuspecting patrons.
Considering hotels in the Republic of Ireland generate a considerable amount of Revenue from people from Northern Ireland, perhaps this questions needs answered?

On a wider societal context, is this the answer to the question of what kind of place would the Protestant, Unionist and Loyalist community be forced to live in by Irish Nationalists in their so-called 'agreed New Ireland'?

Another installment of lies by the Sunday Worlds very own Jackanory Jim McDowell.

Jackanory Jim is stirring the pot once again with another ludicrous fabrication in this mornings Sunday rag.

Jim's latest rubbish report is another shot in the dark claiming that the UVF in the Village area of Belfast have been deliberately trying to raise tensions by erecting 'illegal' flags and emblems on lamp posts to coincide with the recent boxing events in Windsor Park.

In an article completely void of any fact or truth, Jackanory Jim is claiming that Colin Fulton, Village ACT representative has given 'orders' to erect the flags in time for an influx of fans from all backgrounds coming to watch the fight on Saturday night.

There are glaring inconsistencies in Jim's ill thought out spoof, the first being that the flags mentioned have been flying from June, as they always have been in and around that area at the same time every year.

The second being the legality of the flags in question, with Jim seeming to think that the flags are illegal.
Contrary to this, the flags are perfectly legal and are an integral part of pride, identity and remembrance in and around the Village and other mainly unionist areas.

Quoting his usual 'anonymous' source, Jim managed to find the only person in the Village offended by the flags, but of course, they didn't want to be identified........as usual.

We have to ask ourselves what Jim's motives are for fabricating another fanciful tale and what he will gain from trying to create tensions where there are none.

I suppose only he can answer that.........

THE LAST NIGHT OF THE PROVO PROMS

Revellers at last night's climax of 'Feile' in Falls Park show no misapprehension of the true nature of the publicly funded event.

The West Belfast Festival (Feile) came to a close last night with its traditional annual 'Rebel Night' at Falls Park, headlined by notorious Irish-American extremist hate group The Wolfetones and supported by Shebeen and Gary Og to name but a few. These hate groups performed to a crowd of 10,000 people performing songs containing lyrics littered with hate speech and audience singalongs such as "Fuck your Union Jack, we want our country back"
"And we will fight you for 800 (years) more." and "Ooh Ahh Up The Ra. The final lyric comes from a song called "The Celtic Symphony" penned by Irish American hate preachers The Wolfetones, bizarrely, as a tribute to Glasgow Celtic F. C., a British football club who play in the Scottish Premier League!

The Wolfetones are pictured below posing last night with prominent Republican Brendan 'Bik' McFarlane who was convicted and given a life sentence for his involvement in the Bayardo Bar massacre which was inflicted upon the Protestant people of the Shankill Road in West Belfast, resulting in the murder of five innocent Protestants and over fifty injured on the 13th August 1975. Forty three years to the day this article is being penned.

Also on the line up of this Belfast City Council funded concert were Shebeen who are best known for their rendition of a vile ditty called "The Fighting Men of Crossmaglen". This song is infamous in its glorification of IRA terrorists murdering British Army personnel in the South Armagh region of Northern Ireland, containing reprehensible lyrics like "at night you hear the bazookas roar, armalites are heard throughout the land"
and "the Ra will even Ireland's bloody score".

Gary Og who propped up the bill at this "festival of the people" has also appeared at the notorious "Rebel Sunday" night in the Rock Bar on the Falls Road where sectarian mass murderer Bik McFarlane has also appeared on the bill. Among Gary Og's back catalogue of hate is a song called "Say Hello To The Provos". Unfortunately there seems to be no verse describing what happened to the Provos when they said hello at Loughgall and Coagh!

As of time of writing there seems to be shock and surprise from the few media outlets reporting on this display of bigotry, hate and glorification of Republican murder gangs, as if it is a one off slur on the good name of an inclusive and non sectarian festival. A cursory glance at the history, let alone some local knowledge of this festival, would prove this is a regular occurance at "Feile an Phobail with appearances going back thirty years.

To gain a better understanding of the modus operandi of the festival we need to look back thirty years to 1988 and the IRA attempt to murder a Royal Marines band and holidaymakers in Gibraltar which was foiled by the swift and heroic intervention of the Special Air Service to neutralise the threat from three known dangerous terrorists, Danny McCann, Sean Savage and Mairead Farrell. When the news broke of the failure of the attempted mass murder, the IRA ordered mayhem on the streets to manufacture an image of outrage in West Belfast at the deaths of their three comrades. The resultant carnage caused by subsequent gun attacks (which left one IRA gunman dead)  hijacking and rioting created the total opposite as reactions of ordinary decent people of West Belfast ranged from apathy to outright anger as their communities once again resembled the burnt out aftermath of a war zone.

Mindful of political damage the growing ambivalence to violence on the streets could cause Sinn Fein, coupled with the dawning realisation that IRA operations had become so seriously compromised by security forces infiltration of the IRA, the strategists in Connolly House realised a new approach was needed to not only assuage loss of support for Sinn Fein but also to push the Republican movement in a new direction. A political direction which would lessen the embarrassment of defeat when the inevitable ceasefire would arrive. Out of this Feile An Phobail - The Festival of the People was born. Out went the annual internment bonfires (or so they hoped!) and serious rioting. In came a festival featuring myopic propaganda short films and amateurish plays along with community and sports events with a heavy Pro-Provo agenda (e.g. Mairead Farrell camogie tournament and Bobby Sands Cup football competition) along with rabble rousing 'rebel music' celebrations, masked (sic) by seemingly inclusive but decidedly loaded panel debates with invites accorded to members of the media and 'from a Unionist background' useful idiots to front these 'impartial' debates. The aim of the festival, then as now, was to push the Republican agenda, divert political discourse to the Republican wish list and latterly but sinisterly radicalise and brainwash future generations of young West Belfast Catholics into total acceptance and undying loyalty to the Republican cause. Central to this was (and is) the traditional last night of the Festival, an evening of ballads, rabble rousing bigotry and visceral hate designed to legitimise the murderous actions of the IRA, their legacy and the dehumanisation of everything and everyone British.

It may come as no surprise that 'Feile' is heavily reliant on the public funding it receives. Principle funders include Belfast City Council and Tourism Northern Ireland. Other funders include; Community Relations Council, National Lottery Fund and, unbelievably, Children in Need.  Questions must be demanded by the Unionist Community regarding future funding being allocated to this hate fest by these bodies and charities. Perhaps Children In Need would be better served diverting funding towards more suitable local groups such as victims groups containing members who were children when their fathers, mothers and loved ones were murdered by the very people lauded by those taking part in this event.

The silence is (as ever) deafening from the non-Unionist pact of political parties who make the annual habit of attacking and attempting to erode cultural community expression around Protestant and Unionist events such as Battle of the Somme commemorations, Eleventh Night and Twelfth of July celebrations. No better is expected from Sinn Fein and the SDLP but where is the condemnation from the so called middle of the road Alliance Party? Their Leader Naomi Long, Mr Naomi Long himself Michael Long and Emmet McDonough Brown are never shy of lambasting Unionist community cultural expression, so why the silence now?

Unionist Truth Forum call on all funders of this hate fest to withdraw funding immediately and redirect it to more wholesome and genuinely cross community initiatives and for all right thinking political parties to make their disgust heard by challenging future statutory public funding from Belfast City Council. It is the least all can do to prevent future hurt and insult suffered by the families and loved ones of the silent majority, the victims of Provisional IRA genocide.

Selective Condemnation

Selective Condemnation

You may recall almost two months ago Unionist Truth Forum highlighted the erection of grotesque pro-terrorist symbols in the form of the LETTERS 'INLA'  'IRA' and an effigy of an AK-47 assault rifle outside the Royal Victoria Hospital. You may also recall this blog also challenged the media silence over this sickening display compared to the (now annual) anguished wailing when Unionist communities erect perfectly legal flags to commemorate the Battle of the Somme and the Battle of the Boyne. Well, there hasn't quite been total silence...

It only took the media almost two months to finally report and discuss it (despite complaints from concerned and horrified members of the public) and only after Councillors Donal Lyons and Tim Attwood of the SDLP finally got round to noticing such prominent displays along the Falls Road.

You should have gone to Specsavers Tim!

You could be forgiven for thinking an elected representative for the area such as Cllr Attwood would have noticed or at least heard of such controversial displays 'on his patch' yet he claims to only know of their presence on the Falls Road after his party colleague raised the issue. You would not be on your own!

Why was this sickening display not deemed newsworthy by local media outlets for nearly two months. Did no one in the media travels along this route on their daily commute. Did they also suffer acute temporary blindness when covering news stories in West Belfast?  Weigh the balance and judge such haste alongside the speed in which Nolan, Crawley and Co reported the erection of flags in East Belfast despite members of the local community removing a flag considered offensive within an hour.

There can only be the same answer for these questions of the nationalist politician's and agenda media slavish in their devotion to anything anti-Unionist.

Selective Condemnation.

Fanciful stories & fairy-tale's

Smeared on the front page of this mornings Sunday World is a fabrication on a par with any of Roald Dahl’s fairy-tale classics.

So called ‘Journalist’ (we use that term very, very loosely) and convicted drunk driver Richard Sullivan has once again plucked a divisive, derogatory and undoubtedly false story from the ether and splashed the unsubstantiated lies across three pages in this weeks edition of the Sunday rag.

Hitting out at the collective unionist organisations, who not so long ago publicly committed to fight against corruption and crime from rogue elements within the respective organisations, Drunken Dick has claimed today, through the usual unnameable and most likely non-existent sources that its business as usual for the ‘crime bosses’ across the board.

With stories of massive drug empires, involvement with international cartels and stormy high level meetings it’s getting difficult to see what reality, if any, Richard Sullivan has currently taken residence.

We would have to ask ourselves what motive Richard Sullivan would possibly have to cast shadows on the progress made in recent weeks and months, such as anti-drug campaigns, suicide awareness and initiatives to engage with the PSNI at local level. Just what is the agenda?

But sure, it sells papers......

The Unionist fight against drugs.

Our next article is from guest contributor Kyle Warner highlighting the fight against drugs in Unionist communities and how that fight is misrepresented, distorted and hampered by agenda media lies.

Contrary to the popular narrative peddled by the biased northern Irish media, in particular rags such as the Sunday World, unionist areas are leading the way in fighting against the sale and use of drugs, with some high profile campaigns.

All to often the unscrupulous anti-unionist media have stated that drugs have brought working class unionist communities to their knees and falsely claimed through 'unnamed sources' that paramilitary 'crime bosses' have perpetuated the trend of giving the kids drugs and lining their pockets, no matter what the cost is to life, this is simply not the case.

In reality working class areas are fighting hard to rid this scourge from their communities, with all apart from the dealers and users themselves pulling in the same direction.

Anti-drug poster for part of the #tellthepeelersonthedealers campaign

For example South Belfast Act Initiative, working alongside the Alternatives and the PSNI have just today launched a high profile anti-drug campaign in four predominantly unionist areas, Donegall Road, Donegall Pass, Lisburn and the Village.

The campaign slogan #TellThePeelersOnTheDealers is the latest attempt to rid these areas from drug dealers and their filthy clientele.
Coupled with the ongoing #1pillwillkill campaign there is hope in these areas that the influx of drugs from various outside sources will soon cease or educate so that there is little or no demand.

Media silent on Easter terror displays

Is it too much to ask for impartiality from local media outlets over the subject of flags and emblems? It certainly seems so when we compare and contrast the level of media reportage focused on the flying of flags commemorating the Battle of the Somme and the Glorious Revolution in East and South Belfast last June/July with total silence from local press, radio and TV in recent days following the erection of pro-terrorist emblems ahead of the Easter Rising commemoration parades on Easter Sunday along a stretch of the Falls Road covering the Royal Victoria Hospital and entrance to it.

Northern Irish media outlets such as the Irish News, Belfast Telegraph, BBCNI and UTV did not waste time in jumping on board the politically generated furore over wholly legal and culturally relevant flags last summer, including the flying of our national standard, the Union Flag. Where is that urgency to "report the facts" now?,

The Royal Victoria Hospital is used by all sections of the community. The Unionist community should not feel threatened and intimidated by INLA and IRA signs along with an emblem of an automatic rifle. Sane and rational minds would see this as a newsworthy story and in the interests of fair and balanced reporting. This blatant sectarian intimidation clearly does not apply to a local, increasingly agenda led media which only show interest if the story paints unionist communities in a bad light.

Saturday 24 March 2018

Unionist Truth Forum has been created to shine a light on Northern Irish news media. To expose the inherent Anti-Unionist fake news agenda within and serve as an outlet to counter the previously unhindered lies and character assassinations carried out towards the Unionist community by agenda news media

Unionist Truth Forum will also serve as a platform for all within the Unionist community. This is your outlet to challenge the agenda media. All contributions citing evidence of anti Unionist bias, lies and propaganda are welcomed and will be received in strictest confidence.

Martin O'Muilleoir tries to create a link between Michael Stone and the RUC.

For our first article we at Unionist Truth have decided to publish an article sent to us by the widow of a former RUC officer.

It's disgusting yet again to listen to Martin 0'Muilleoir's propaganda war, now he's claiming collusion between Michael Stone the UDA and the RUC.

He states this as fact, but the dogs in the street know that he and the rest of Sinn Fein have conjured this up between them.

It is simply a case of Sinn Fein trying to re-write history, so our future generations will continue to pass on the poisonous spew of lies.

The true facts are many hundreds of officers were dedicated and proud members of the force who served all of the communities, it was never an easy task for any officer or their families during the decades of the murky war here, many officers died  or were injured or left to cope with mental illness as a result of what they went through here and is it any wonder?

Every day of their lives they didn't only have a job here to do but the stress of living in a war zone as well.
RUC families could tell many stories of how the IRA stalked their members on a daily basis, getting to know officers routines to and from work etc.  Wives and children of officers suffered as well, personal security was a living nightmare, either at home or work.

The IRA were booby trapping officers cars, the milk bottles on their door steps, everyday objects wired up to explode, whether the officer, his or her wife, husband or kids lifted it, e.g cigarette boxes, door handles, sheds, to name but a few, and now this man Martin O'Muilleoir claims it is fact that the RUC colluded with Michael Stone.

If there was any collusion it was by a handful of wrong doers, but to tarnish a whole force of brave men and women every time Sinn Fein feel the need to re-write history for their own political gain is appalling.
