Selective Condemnation |
It only took the media almost two months to finally report and discuss it (despite complaints from concerned and horrified members of the public) and only after Councillors Donal Lyons and Tim Attwood of the SDLP finally got round to noticing such prominent displays along the Falls Road.
You should have gone to Specsavers Tim! |
You could be forgiven for thinking an elected representative for the area such as Cllr Attwood would have noticed or at least heard of such controversial displays 'on his patch' yet he claims to only know of their presence on the Falls Road after his party colleague raised the issue. You would not be on your own!
Why was this sickening display not deemed newsworthy by local media outlets for nearly two months. Did no one in the media travels along this route on their daily commute. Did they also suffer acute temporary blindness when covering news stories in West Belfast? Weigh the balance and judge such haste alongside the speed in which Nolan, Crawley and Co reported the erection of flags in East Belfast despite members of the local community removing a flag considered offensive within an hour.
There can only be the same answer for these questions of the nationalist politician's and agenda media slavish in their devotion to anything anti-Unionist.
Selective Condemnation.
